for Leeds MCC's or leeds Bikers
Dear Yorkshire Bikers I work for a television production company that are producing an exciting new Channel 4 series. We are looking for a bikers in the Leeds area and I wondered if you might be kind enough to suggest any names or organisations that we could contact. I'd be really grateful for any help, so please give me a call if you can. Many thanks, Christian Watt |
Magic Action Promotions Ltd, the fundraising arm of the Motorcycle Action Group (MAG) Yorkshire, are inviting you and your readers to take part in our competition. As crazy as it may sound we are giving away nearly £2000 worth of tickets to our 4 events! 10 Lucky winners will receive a pair of tickets to each of our 4 events. All you have to do is answer one easy question about MAG’s premier event, Europe’s largest motorcycle only rally, the one and only Farmyard Party. The other excellent bike only events are Into the Valley, Ganton Gathering and the Yorkshire Pudding Rally. Any of you Farmyard mentalists may well know the answer but for those of you that don’t, it can be found on the Farmyard website History page @ www.farmyardparty.com. The competition kicks off on the 3rd
of March and all competition entries must be received by the end of
the 31st of March 2008. All 10 winners will be notified personally by
the 5th of April 2008. Now the good bit! Answer a,b,c or d Ticket Competition |
| HI all, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I have just been informed that Steve Stansfield of the Bridge Rats MCC (known to everyone as "Straight Back Steve") passed away this morning. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew he. As soon as we find out any details we will let everyone know. R.I.P Steve, From Gez |

CROSSED But it looks like it's back THE HALIFAX BIKE SHOW Run by Big D's MORE INFORMATION AS WE GET IT! |
| Dear Yorkshire Bikers My name is Simon Lees, and I am trying to raise £3000+ for Leukaemia Research by competing in Weston Beach Race on October 12 this year. I am competing along with 2 other team members - Stuart Holland, and Kevin Harvey. (If you want to know a little more about the beach race look at www.wbruk.com) We are raising money for Leukaemia Research because my cousin Mel was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia in May 2007. Sadly, just 8 months since her diagnosis, she died leaving behind a husband and 2 1/2 year old daughter. Last year, I raised £2538.78 for Leukaemia Research by doing the same race and want to raise even more this year, to help fund the massively important research that could help others who find themselves diagnosed with this horrible disease. My website is still up and running from last years appeal (www.riderappeal4leukaemia.webeden.co.uk) but is now fully updated with what we are doing this year. So far we have had items donated to auction off from Antonio Caroli, Billy MacKenzie, Jordan Rose and Paul Cooper to name but a few. Can your company help? Be it a monetary donation, or something that we could auction off? Could we also ask for a link to be put on your website to ours, so that we get as many people looking at it as possible, and get them donating. Please let me know if you have added a link to my site so I can do the same in return. Hoping you can help Simon, Stu and Kev |

A CHALLENGE THIS SUMMER? Hi All, Y ou may remember last years challenge, the 3 borders, well we manage to raise £1770 for the yorkshire air ambulance. This year were doing a ride on a simular idea called "The 3 BRIDGES CHALLENGE" The idea is to get to the 3 prearranged bridges and back to your start point in 24 hours taking photos of each bridge as you go just to prove that you did get to them. Everyone and anyone is welcome to take part as each rider would have raised there own individuel sponcership, once thay have collected there money in its then paid directly to the yorkshire air ambulance through the website. www.justgiving.com/3bridges Bye the way this is a secure website. Last year the average miles covered was 850 in the 24 hours, I will be asking other sites and clubs as well as all the bike shops and biker meeting places that helped us last year, if you would like to take part just get in touch, thanks for your time Carl (Doncaster MAG) |
